GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

As we begin the New Year, the United African Congress, Inc. extends sincere greetings to our membership and friends who collaborated and worked with us during the past year in making programs happen with almost no resources. Your sacrifice remains a true testament of what is possible when we work together. As we have often said, the United African Congress, Inc., is our organization. It is only with your continued participation that we can pull forces together to achieve the objectives of the organization.

During 2009, we managed to collaborate with the following city and government entities and corporate entities in enhancing our selected initiatives and programs:

1. Mayor’s office to combat domestic violence
2. Census Bureau
3. Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Affairs
4. New York City and State Elected Officials.
5. New York Life

The agenda is as follows:
2010 UAC Board recommendations on the following;

(i) Census 2010
(ii) Committee status
(iii) Calendar of events
(iv) Constitution
(v) Leadership Retreat
(vi) Financial and administrative issues
